What's Makes America So Great?

A nation of immigrants, the land of the free, the home of the brave. This country is amazing and beautiful with all it's natural goodness, but something quite special about it is how people from other countries can come here and become a part of it all; the American dream.

Someone quite special to me had the opportunity to become just that, and that's my mom.

Earlier this month my mom along with over 300 other U.S. citizen candidates all gathered at the lovely Abravenel Hall in Downtown Salt Lake City. It was quite a sight! My mom was so excited to finally get this done, as she's been in the U.S. for over 35 years and living as a resident for the majority of those years.

My mom was able to share her thoughts in front of thousands of people of how happy she was to finally become a U.S. citizen. She would make sure to send all of us children to go out and vote and now that she has completed this process she can now go and vote herself!

We couldn't be more proud of her decision to finally get this done! Congrats to my Mommy, an American citizen!!!
