Winter Break 2011 in a Nutshell

It has been a great winter break and much needed because we would have self-destructed if we didn't. I should have blogged in the middle of our break, but I wasn't motivated, sorry! So, please bear with me as this may be a longer post than usual. If it makes you feel better, there are pictures a plenty.
First things first: Christmas!
We were able to spend time with the Keller clan (mother-in-law's parents) on Christmas Eve. It was so nice to just hang out and catch up with each other. It was especially nice to have grandpa there for a good amount of time and he was all smiles, as you can see. This is some Christmas money that my little brother and sister-in-laws got and they asked me to save their money for them. I am their piggy bank.

Then some more family showed up and they brought in this cute chunk! I realized that I didn't get any pictures of his older sister, but I promise you she is a cutie too. This bundle of love was in a jumpy mood that when it was my turn to hold him, I got a good work out for my arms! It was all worth it though!

I love this picture because of grandpa's big, huge smile  towards the baby and Dillon's  sneakiness. Can you see him?
We sure do love you, Parker bear!

 Here are the Callahan brothers.
I know what you're thinking. "I would have never thought Brandon's hair was that long!"Thanks to his curly locks, you would never suspect it at all. The last time he got a haircut was in August-ish of 2011. He doesn't want to get his haircut until he graduates which is in May. So far, his hair looks good when it's gelled. Here's to the next four months of afro-sheen. We will keep you updated.

On Christmas Day, we went to my parent's house. It was fun to see what the dogs get for Christmas too since they are spoiled by my parents. You must admit though that they are cute.

Sit Bosley, sit!

Cuernos!

Even Nylon was having a blast.

It was extra special this Christmas because we were able to talk to my little brother Nefi who is serving a mission. He is doing very well and is pumped up to, "Do work!" He's a cutie, isn't he?
We started to take pictures of him on the computer and before you know it, we were taking pictures with him! It is funny now that I look back at the pictures, but it's a good reminder of this Christmas.
The Twinks and Nef.

The family, minus Bianca.
 Next: Day after Christmas
So I can't remember what day it was, but I think it was on the 26th and we headed back up to Salt Lake. We, along with some of my in-laws went to the Nickelcade. This was my second time ever going and it was fun. They give you so many nickels that you don't know what to do with them! For me, there was only one game that I was interested in playing.....

MS. PAC MAN!
I sure do love this game! As you can imagine, my nickels went a long way when I was playing this game and I ended up giving 3/4 of my nickels to my little in-laws to use.

That's right! Suitable for all ages!
 Then: New Year's Eve
We spent New Year's Eve with my mother-in-law. She had a get-together and we just hung out. Here is a picture of us I think after the countdown.

Brandon loves his dog Max.
And last, but certainly not least, we went to a baby blessing on New Year's Day. This adorable little girl, whom we will call, "Miss E", was blessed today by her daddy. It was so nice to be a part of this special event with them and to spend time with them. Isn't she a doll? I didn't want to stop holding her because she is so precious.
I hope you don't mind me sharing a picture of your princess, Katie.

And I got to see this handsome little boy also. I love these little ones. We're good friends!

Last year has been good to us. A lot of ups and a few downs, but nothing major. If anything, I think that the experiences that I have had has made me a better person. As always, it is always a work in progress to be a better person. We are excited for 2012 and all of the changes that we will make and finally be done with school, for now at least. We are excited for the journey that lies ahead of us and hope you guys have a happy New Year too!
