When people say that the first year of teaching is the hardest, they weren't lying. This past week was probably the worst week in my looooooong teaching career, ever (hear the sarcasm? ;D ). I had my first formal observation from my principal, but it was a hot mess. The end result, a little tear fest after school. Embarrassing.
I love my job, though. This job is so humbling too because it helps you realize that there is always room to improve. I also appreciate the help of my first grade team. They are fabulous.
My little children were so lucky to have my mom come in and do a fun craft with them. The brooms were a hit!
There are so many things that come up with our schedule that I feel like if our school talked it over with the district, we could even extend the school day an extra hour a day?...
Maybe sometime in the future.
I went to a cute "Witches Brew" tea party that my aunt put on last month and it was so fun! For a craft, we decorated pumpkins. As you can see, they become addicting to do. I can't wait for next year to do it all over again!
My cousin and her little family relocated all the way from Texas to Utah! They crashed at our place until they were able to find a place to live that was closer to her husband's work. This was the very first time I met her two kids. They are cute!
There are lots more other things that have been happening in our neck of the woods, but I just wanted to share some pictures and a little bit of fun stuff.
I will try to post another soon!
