This past weekend was a really great one. Brandon had the opportunity to participate in his first charity bike ride, ever. He rode in the Bike for MS Ride up in Logan and he really invested in it. Why did he choose to raise money and go on this ride? Well, his late Grandpa, Thomas Callahan had MS and passed away back in 2006. He really loved him and talks about the times when he would go visit his grandpa. Bless his heart. Brandon biked a total of 75 miles, which is pretty good for a first timer (especially since he hasn't had very much experience in biking besides the stationary.) He had already vowed to participate in the bike ride every year for the rest of his life. Who knows, I may even join him, too. But, I won't do the 75 in one day. Most likely the 40 mile a day bike ride sounds good.

| Yay! There's Brandon with the smiley face sticker. |

| This is what the sticker by your name means. The first year is by far my most favorite. |

Besides the bike ride, we stayed with my sisters since they live up there and it was fun being with them. We also got to see my cousin at work, and hang out with my other cousin on Saturday. It was so nice to just get away for a little bit and enjoy the small town of Logan. I must admit, it really isn't that bad of a place.
I also had the chance to go have some Aggie Ice Cream for the very first time! I had to have the Blue Aggie Mint, because you get the best of both worlds: oreos and mint. I also liked that it was blue.
For those who have gone to Aggie Ice Cream, what is your favorite flavor?

Hey, I did that bike ride, too! I'm sad to have missed seeing you folks. Sounds like you had an adventure though!
ReplyDeleteThe Centennial flavor is really good: cheesecake, cherries, graham cracker chunks...and some other good stuff. I totally love Aggie Blue Mint as well! Next time you guys are in Logan we should meet up! (Well, until we move in a little while!)
ReplyDeleteWay to go Brandon! I haven't been to Aggie Ice Cream, so I have no advice, but since I really, really love ice cream, I should probably go.
