These past few days have really opened my eyes in retrospect of what I believe and stand for. I saw the power of the Priesthood being practiced by worthy family members as they gave her blessings and some of the most heart-felt prayers being given in her behalf. Although it was a bitter-sweet experience, it was such an amazing spiritual one as well, as my Aunt was so close to passing that she was already calling for her parents, whom have already passed on many years ago.
My sweet, sweet Tia was such a trooper! She finally passed away yesterday at 10:15 am. The nurse had come to bathe her and fix her hair, and then she passed. She wanted to leave nice and clean.
I've had some nice memories of her and will never forget this experience. Although she was so frail and weak, she was able to speak to me when I was right next to her and will never forget what she told me. The last thing she told me (in Spanish) was, "Thank you, take care, and God bless you."....in Tia Tina fashion. I will hold those words close to my heart for the rest of my life.
I'm so grateful for the Gospel and the knowledge that I have of it. It makes me so happy to know that families can be together forever! God is so great and shows us His tender mercies to us daily. I took this experience as one of them. He wants us to be happy and to follow Him. I know I will see my Tia Tina again. It will be an amazing reunion when that time comes where we will reunite with many of our family members.
We love you Tia! Veremos un dia en los cielos. Cuidate querida Tia.
