Fourth Graders and Babies a Plenty

I have been very busy with school lately with lesson plans and such, but it's all been very fun, I promise! Other than that, life in general has been good.
First off, I got to go to my old room mate's baby shower down in Elberta. Now I had never been to Elberta before, but I knew that it was close to Santaquin. So, it was so nice to visit with old friends back from Snow College. Some of them I hadn't seen in over 2-3 years! Anyways, here are some pictures from the special event.

My cute old room mate Maurina and her baby bump. She was glowing the whole time.

I also go to see another one of my good friends Jeni. She's such a sweetheart. L-for LOVE!

This is Marissa and her sweet little baby girl Riah. She was probably the first friend I made when my family and I moved to Nephi from California. I hadn't seen her in a few years, so it was so nice to see her and her adorable daughter.
All in all, it was a fun reunion full of laughs and fun memories we had back in the day. We were missing one from our bunch, but we'll see her soon!

I've also been working on one of my practicums at a local elementary school for my fine arts class. My groups and I are working with a fourth grade class and will be focusing our topic on the water cycle. The teacher told us that this class was kind of a handful, but we pressed on. I was the first students teacher in our group to teach a lesson and it went GREAT! It was pretty amazing at how much the kids were engaged. It was everything I imagined and more. Here are a few pictures of the tableaus that the students and their student teachers created for each water form...tableaus is a French word and is a still image that you create with your body. Okay, on with some pictures:
"Sometimes I cascade. I tumble down, down, over the moss-covered rocks, through the forest shadows. I am the mountain stream."

There were some other really nice shapes from the other groups, but the blog photo uploader is messing with me. Things are going good though! My husband is kicking butt in his classes and work as always and is just wonderful. I love him more than a fat boy loves ice cream. Life is good!
